Small reviews of (I think) all incremental games I've ever played on Android

I don't know if this will be useful to anyone. So I write a line or two about every game I play, and decided to find all the incremental in my game journal and post them here. It starts with the latest games I've played and I think goes back to several years back. One thing I've realized is I have such a love-hate-hate relationship with this genre since I think I've hated 90% of the games and 100% of myself after each incremental phase. I usually angrily stop playing them for a while and restart them again, so this is more or less a journal of addiction, I suppose.
THE BEST GAMES I'VE PLAYED ARE THESE (no order):
  1. Kittens Game
  2. Antimatter Dimensions
  3. Oil Tycoon
Honorable Mention: Eggs, Inc
The rest: more or less hated it
Additional comment if you decide to scan through it, I complain a lot, so it is perfectly reasonable and normal to think, "why the fuck are you even playing these games, idiot??".

------
Time Idle RPG
This game was confusing. It tells me the game's resources is time, where you get 1 of it every second, but that's not really something as unique as I assumed. It would have been cool if time as resources meant you used it to deal with something related to time. Maybe time travel? Maybe slowing and speeding time?
Instead time as resource buys you stuff like a library. And then you buy a camp or something. Honestly, I wasn't really feeling it.

Path of Idling
The biggest cardinal sin for me when it comes to incremental is when a game has a lot of features and it just completely throws them all at you instantly. The joy of a great incremental is how things slowly open up and each new achievement feels progress.
The game is a RPG game and these are the things that opened up for me in the first few hours.
Combat which includes normal fighting, dungeon, raid, boss, PVP (locked, but it just needs an ascend, which I haven't done)
Skills
Hero upgrades which include Passive (strength, defence, stamina, intelligence), Train, and a huge Tree
Town which you can buy workers who get you various things like gold, orbs, knowledge, etc. You can upgrade stuff here.
Quest that also includes Perks and Skill quests.
Gear which 5 equipment slots, plus craft plus trade plus smelt
Also gear for your Pet, which is also another tab!
Now, here is the thing. Because I have all of this pretty much instantly, I don't really know which ones are helping me go past a well. How is adding 10 points in strength helping me? Should I have added five in strength instead and five in defence? I have already bought 20 or so upgrades in the Tree, but I have no idea if I am made the optimal choice. There is no real excitement with getting new gear. And so on.
The dev has added a lot of features, now it's time to rework the game, and have the features take their time.

Idle Slayer
The game is like a super simple platformer. Your character is running and any enemy it hits, it automatically slays it. There is no HP, and all enemies die in one shot. Your only active play is jumping occasionally to grab coins or hit the flying enemies. Also, you have a run skill that has a cool down.
With the coins, we get new weapons that give us more coins. Enemies give us souls which is used for the prestige system that provides us with an interesting skill tree which provides a lot of choices on the path you want to do in terms of upgrades.
So far excellent, however, the game has an extremely serious issue of pacing. The game initially progresses so fast that in the first hour or so, you get almost all the weapons aside from the last two, which then grinds down to a snail pace. You can upgrade your past weapons, but they never really get into play again. Reaching high levels of past weapons sometimes gave me upgrades of that weapon of 10,000% but they still did nothing to my overall coin per second. I think the pacing needs to be fully reworked. It would have been nice to get new weapons after certain prestige cycles, so that every new weapon feels like we have passed a significant wall. The best part of an incremental game for me is to face a wall, and when I finally break it, I feel powerful again for a while. This game feels like this though, powerful powerful powerful powerful WALL........break it....WALL. And so on. I'm still playing it as I want to get some of the skills, but I feel like it could have been so much better.

Exponential Idle
A very back to the foundation kind of incremental. The premise is that you are a student and working on a formula. There is a neat story where as you progress in the game, your character progresses through university. Each upgrade gives you more and more automation until I reached a stage where I would check back once every 2 or 3 days, click a 2nd layer prestige reset, and close it. Meaning the game was something like 5 seconds of game player every 2 days. I just opened it for this review and realized I had reached the end game. The story wraps up and it tells me "You can take a rest. Travel a bit. Go outside!" NO, DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO GAME.

Factoid
Factoid & Spark should have the same review as they are almost the same game with only small differences. The games are the most basic kind of incremental, where you buy something with resources, until you get the next thing which gives you more of the resources. Both give you upgrades to speed things up, and finally prestige and it's own prestige upgrades. That's it. It's nice little change of pace from all the recent incremental that sometimes do too much, but obviously due to the very simple nature of it, it does eventually feel pointless, specially after you more or less open up everything and the prestige upgrades just keep repeating.

Antimatter Dimensions
Easily top 5 incremental on mobile. Does everything perfectly. You progress nicely, and when new features open it, not only is it rewarding but more importantly, it keeps adding new dimensions (lol) to the game. I'd at the end game as I write this, and I realize that there was no point in the game where it felt stale. Each new prestige layer made the game feel fresh and almost like a new incremental game.
5
Melvor Idle
It seems this game was mainly aimed at Runescape players, which is probably why it didn't click for me. It also run extremely slow on my phone which also played a part in me not really getting into.
2
A Girl Adrift
The animation is really pretty and is a nice change of pace for incrementals, but I didn't really like the too much active play. Really had to keep going back and forth to different areas to do the fishing which got too repetitive for me.
You travel to different areas of the map to catch fish, which you get points and then you upgrade stuff, but I didn't really find any real excitement about the upgrades because I kept having to go back to previous areas to fish similar creatures.
3
Archer: Danger Phone
I'm really annoyed how terrible of a game this was. Two things I like, the TV show "Archer" and incremental games, and it's done in the most lazy manner. The game is the worst aspect of idle games where it's just a straight path of clicking the next upgrade with absolutely zero decision making. Every once in a while there is a mini game where Archer gets to shoot others but it's done in the most basic form of early 2000s flash games, where the animation budget is probably 3 dollars. Same static background and both enemies and Archer have just two animation frames. The absolute laziness of it is almost insulting to the player, because it feels like we aren't even worth the effort.
There is an Archer story in the game which develops really fast, which is the only positive part, but no voice acting is again another evidence that the creators of the game weren't given any budget for this.
1
Home Quest
This game is way too slow. You have to collect materials to build your settlement but everything takes time, so you click for a few seconds, and then you have to leave the game. Which I'm fine with, but the problem isn't the idle part of it, it's how the idle part of it combines with constant checking of the game which annoys me. I like an idle game where you forget to start the game for a day, you come up to a lot of resources, but this is a game which needs you to check back in every 30 minutes or an hour to really get anywhere. I felt that the micromanagement was getting worse as I progressed (without any actual thing to do when I am active in the game) that made me give up.
2
Idle Industry
This is probably an interesting game, but I gave up because the one thing I really disliked was the amount of resources and manufacturing that very quickly opens to you. You can buy raw materials, and you can either sell these raw materials or turn them into finished goods and sell them either. And each of these has several upgrade options (increase selling price, increase production, etc). Without even really getting too deep into the game, I have around 20 raw materials and around 30 finished products. A satisfying part of this genre is to have things slow open up for you, which gives me a decent feeling of satisfaction. But the money I got would quickly open up new products, so I would just jump ahead and purchase more expensive ones, and after a while I had a lot of materials and products at zero, and was instead focusing on latter ones.
2
Masters of Madness
Somewhat neat atmosphere and visuals, but too much active clicking. Click, upgrade to get more per clicks, get minions to get you some points without clicking, typical clicker, but with the added benefit of almost no idling. I like idling incrementals but clickers is a hard no from me.
1
Soda Dungeon 2
Basically similar to the first one, as far as I could tell. I did "finish" it but maybe I shouldn't have, since it really is the same thing from early on, specially once you get all the heroes and you kind of sort out which characters work best, then it's just the same. But because it was somewhat short and no real wall, it was at least easy to stick to it to the end.
2
Bacterial Takeover
Played for a decent amount and was actually more interesting that I thought, given the buttload of ad incentives. You create and upgrade bacteria, attack planets, and eventually go into a blackhole to prestige. Most of the game was good, but the part that killed it for me was the prestige system. Once you prestige, planets get super easy to attack, which becomes a lot of active play. I realized that each prestige was taking me at least 30 minutes to get to where I was, and it was just meaningless clicking. It got to a point where I was putting off prestige because it seemed like it would be a hassle so I stopped.
2
LogRogue
Cute graphics. The hero sort of hopping to hit the tiny monsters is cute to look at, but how long can you look at it and do nothing before you realize that it's boring? I suppose this is a game where it's just not for me. I don't like to have my phone open on a game and just watch it like a crazy person and do nothing. My rule is simple for incrementals. While the app is open, be active, if there isn't any choices to make, close the app while resources build up or whatever. I don't like it being open while I do nothing.
3
A Kittens Game
Incremental games are so strange. I get in and out of the phases. I loved this for so long and so obsessively that I wanted to only play incremental games. And then, just like that, I was wondering why the fuck I was wasting my time with this. Has happened countless times before.
But still probably the best incremental ever.
5
A Dark Room
An incremental cult classic of sorts but I don't find it really matches the genre. There is a bit of incremental at the beginning with people huts and stuff but then its just a ascii exploring game, which wasn't interesting to me.
2
Little Healer
Saw it mentioned in the Reddit incremental forum in one of the posts and thought it was a healer themed incremental which sounded neat. But it's like being a healer in a raid in World of Warcraft without any if the extras. Just a couple of bars representing your team mates and you healing them while they fight the boss. I didn't even like playing the healer in WoW so no way would I play this game.
1
Clickie Zoo
Started playing for a few days until I realized there a beta released with the dev reworking the game completely from scratch and releasing it as "Idle Zoo Tycoon". So, played that instead but this seemed like a game I would enjoy anyway.
4
Idling to Rule the Gods
The UI and one drawing if your character is really ugly enough to be distracting to me. The game, seemed interesting and I eventually was into it, but seems like a game that has been constantly being updated, which is not always a good thing, because features are obviously updated regularly to it, making the whole thing a bit bloaty.
I guess, this is the problem with this game for me, it's too fat. Also, one main part of the game is that your character creates Shadow Clones up to a maximum limit. Which is fine except the clones can't be made in offline mode. This might not be a big deal in its original web browser game but that doesn't work as well in a mobile format.
2
Realm Grinder
This is one of the really popular incremental and it's fanbase seems to love it for it's depth, but to be honest, I don't play these games for the depth, I play it for the simple dopamine rush of doing the same thing over and over again. It relaxes.
Although, I didn't even get to the depth part because I dislike games where it rushes in the beginning. I constantly bought buildings, got spells, and got upgrades without even looking at the description. Apparently, later on, we can get complicated race upgades, which seems not what I'm looking for in such a genre.
2
Spaceplan
A short (!!) incremental with an actual story (!!!). That's two cool points for it but unfortunately, the game mechanics of increment genre isn't so good. It's a space game with nice visuals and a great ending (cool music set to cool graphics) but the game itself wasn't really that fun. This same exact game would have been better in a different genre (maybe something like "Out There"?)
3
Zombidle
Felt like idle games again and this is the kind of examples that kept me away. Too much clicking and seems like advancement will start to get irritating since it relies on IAPs
2
Eggs, Inc
While I was playing it, Eggs, Inc was probably my favorite Android game I had ever played. But like most incremental games, there comes a moment when I suddenly stop and think, what am I doing?
Because there is something fascinating about Incrementals. Their addictiveness is in a way the whole point. An incremental is less of a game and more an act of electronic addictiveness. What's the point?
Eggs, Inc is a very well made and fun incremental but even the best in its genre is still pointless.
4
Castle Clicker
Supposedly a mix of incremental and city building but didn't really find out since the clickings were way to much. I know this is supposed to be the genre but I like the incremental part more than the tapping part. This seemed to be a good way to hurt your fingers.
2
Endless Era
This RPG clicker game is like other such games but with horrible GUI and animations. Tap tap tap. It's my fault for downloading such games. Why would I ever think this would be fun???
1
Idle Quote
An incremental game with a unique twist. This time we get to make up quotes! The first negative about the game and this irritates me a lot is most of the quotes are fake. A quick search on Google and this proves it. Quotes are generally attributed to Buddha or Ghandi or shit like that and it's usually fake like most quotes on the internet. This kills the major possible advantage of the game because I thought coming up with arbitrary words would at least give me some quotes to learn. Aside from the this, the game isn't fun either because it slows down very quickly meaning you combine words very slowly at a certain stage of the game and then it becomes a boring grind.
2
Monster Miser
An incremental game with almost no graphics. We just see character portraits of monsters which we buy and then upgrade until we buy the next monster. Eventually we prestige which gives us multipliers. The only game choice is choosing between two monsters with each new monster with unique benefits. Annoyingly there is a max limit which I wish didn't exist because I wanted to prestige so much that I would be over powerful in upgrading like that "Idle Oil Tycoon". Still, pointless but reasonably fun.
3
Pocket Politics
An incremental take on politics sounds fun but it's so generic that it could have been about anything. A Capitalist idle game or a cooking idle game, it wouldn't matter. IAP was also the usual shitty kind.
1
Time Clickers
A shooter incremental sounds like a cool twist but it's not a FPS like I imagined it would be. I'm just stuck in a room and I was shooting blocks. Upgrades didn't give me any enjoyment since I was shooting fucking blocks.
1
Tap Tap Fish - Abyssrium
I thought this was going to be relaxing incremental but the ridiculous and generic IAPs and all the social integeration spoil it. Too much time is spent in them asking you to buy or share or tweet or post or give them a blowjob. And there is nothing relaxing about that.
2
Cartoon 999
Incremental game about comic book writers, but not the marvel DC kind, it seemed to be the webcomic one and I think it's a Korean developer so all the characters and injokes made no sense to me. The whole thing was just targeted to a very specific audience.
2
Dungeon Manager
Incremental games need to be simple but this is beyond simple, it's just upgrade a fighter to level 5, go to next dungeon character, do the same, and just continue without any of the delicious balancing of upgrades like other idle games.
2
Final Fortress
Incremental games are already pointless but when it's super heavy on IAP than its also annoying, but when it always has bugs that doesn't register my offline earnings, then it just needs a uninstall in its face.
The zombie skin was also crappy.
1
Mana Maker
Here is how I know this clicker isn't very good. It doesn't make me hate all clickers and my life and mobile gaming in general for being so addictive and pointless.
So fail, sorry.
2
Infinity Dungeon
The usual incremental RPG that I should probably never play again. Starts simple enough and then gets more or a chore as you play.
1
Another incremental game which I had promised myself not to play anymore because they are so pointless and repetitive and endless. Well, this wasn't infinite and had a goal at 999 level so I thought it was good but while the humor was cute, the game did become very repetitive. Every 10 levels the slimes changed but after every 100 levels the whole thing restarted and while the monsters got stronger, I seemed to get even stronger. So the game became easier as I progressed and there was no more challenge. By level 800, I gave up.
2
Tap Dungeon RPG
Okay, I'm running out of ways to complain about those incremental RPG games that all have similar problems. It starts off reasonably fast and fun but soon it seems like I am in a data entry job. Doing the same thing over and over again with little changes.
1
Dungeon 999 F: Secret of Slime Dungeon
Another incremental game which I had promised myself not to play anymore because they are so pointless and repetitive and endless. Well, this wasn't infinite and had a goal at 999 level so I thought it was good but while the humor was cute, the game did become very repetitive. Every 10 levels the slimes changed but after every 100 levels the whole thing restarted and while the monsters got stronger, I seemed to get even stronger. 1
Tower of Hero
You start on the first floor of the tower and keep fighting your way up by summoning your heroes (by clicking) and recruiting other fighters, get upgrades, level up, and then, ugh, here is the typical incremental RPG part, restart, get items, and do it ALL over again.
There is something fun about restarting and getting slowly stronger each time but it also feels so pointless after a while. Such a pointless genre now that I have played a billion of such titles, heh.
3
Pageboy
Yet another incremental RPG which I have no idea why I downloaded because I'm sick of the genre. I played a pageboy to a knight who does the fighting while I collect the lot. I collect the loot, buy stuff for the knight, and eventually I restart to do the same thing again and get better items but this game I didn't even RESTART! Because fuck it! Fuck it!
2
Idle Warriors
The story is cute. Human population is regressing while monster population is on the rise. So the humans start enslaving monsters to mine for them! The brave warriors beat the crap out of monsters, kidnap the bosses, and enslave them. The animation of monsters slaving away while speech balloons above them talk about their wife and children is funny.
But the game itself is another RPG incremental which I should start staying away from. These games are like a chore for me nowadays because I'm doing the same crap again and again. The blame is probably on me because it seems like a reasonably solid game. But hey, fuck it, I PERSONALLY didn't enjoy it.
2
Tap! Tap! Faraway!
Any game that is remotely like Tap Titan scares me. They are addictive at first and very fast moving but after every restart gets more and more annoying. It soon turns into a time eating activity with the player having to redo the initial levels to get relics to get better items to progress further to restart to get relics to and so on until the player realizes how much time he is putting in the game for a repetitive activity.
2
Auto RPG
Now that is a title the game developers didn't spend too much time on. RPG battles are automatic but I can help out by clicking like a mad man. I started with one hero but would get additional members in my party as the story progressed. Party members receive skills as as they level up and while all the skill usage is automatic, it did give me a sense of progression which is extremely important in a RPG and which I think is usually lacking in incremental games. It usually starts feeling useless but in this game at least there are new maps, new members, and an actual end sight!
There is an infinity stage once the last boss is defeated but I am glad the infinity stage happens AFTER the end and it's not the game itself.
4
Merchant
Hire a hero and send on to battle. The battles is done automatically and takes time, starts with something short like 10 seconds with each battle taking longer. The loot is raw materials which can be used to craft equipment which also takes real life time with better items taking longer. The crafted items can either be sold or equipped to the hero to make him be able to fight stronger monsters.
I was worried I would hate the longer crafting and fighting times because I hate games which I have to watch for a task to finish but even though the durations for longer, I had more to do. However, I don't know what would have happened in the end game because I gave up on it. New maps were exactly like the first map just with different heroes but the progression was similar in each level which felt that I was doing the exact same thing all over again but with longer task times.
2
Idle Oil Tycoon
This is the best idle game I played. It's graphics aren't just minor, they are none existent. It's just numbers, so basic that my sister thought I was on a stock market app.
It's such a simple concept. Invest, get oil, upgrade then like other idlers restart to get a bonus and do the full thing all over again. When I finished the game, I played the unlimited mode which I played until the unlimited mode couldn't handle the numbers anymore.
5
Soda Dungeon
This kind-of Idle Dungeon was great. I started with weak ass fighters who would fight on my behalf while I collected the loot. I then got to use the lot to upgrade the sofa bar to recruit more adventurers. Not sure why it was a sofa bar. Maybe they wanted to make it a family game and not have alcohol? Sounds weird but the sofa element in a RPG game sounds weirder.
The game only hit a brick for me when, like most other incremental games, there is no real closure. Once I thought I bet the big bad guy, it just goes on, harder but similar enough with no end in sight. Eventually, we have to stop playing right, but it always feels a bit like a let down when I don't feel like I have finished the game.
4
10 Billion Wives Kept Man Life
The two games from this company, 10 Billion Wives and Kept Man Life, have similar strengths and weaknesses.
I liked the silly premises from both. In 10BM, I had to get married as much as I could, using the loves I collect to marry more expensive wives! In KML, I'm a boyfriend who doesn't work and I have to please my career gf so she would take care of me.
Both start reasonably fast and I was willing to grind through difficult parts but the end game is like a brick wall. Passing through it to get all the achievements is pretty much impossible unless one puts in way too many hours. And it's a shame because I really wanted to get all the achievements to see all the tiny little extra stuff.
3
Adventure Capitalist
One of the better incremental games, but now that I am out of the short lived incremental fan phase, I realized how dumb the genre is. Tap, tap, tap, upgrade, do this a million times, reset, and do it all over again like a moron. The game does deserve credits for me acting like a moron and playing it for so long but I also cheated and got free cash and then if occupying became even more pointless.
3
The Monolith
A combination of an incremental and a civilization building game seemed like an excellent idea and in some ways, it was, specially how we get to upgrade through the ages from cavemen to futuristic. But no offline feature means that the resets aren't enticing.
2
USSR Simulator
An incremental game that has a great theme (USSR!) but absolutely horrible to enjoy, even though I did stick to it. After a certain upgrades, the game just turned into me popping in the game, clicking an upgrade and then forgetting about the game for a few days.
2
RPG Clicker
They should call these games tappers not clickers. We are not clicking anything on a touchscreen device. Anyway, tap tap tap level up buy weapons tap tap and uninstall.
1
Logging Quest Logging Quest 2
[Review is for the original and its sequel]
There is not much of a difference between the game. I actually played them both at the same time because the actual game is offline. You choose your hero, send them to a dungeon, and then come back to the game after a while to see how well they did. I thought an offline RPG like this might be interesting but then, if you don't really play a game, how much fun can it be?
1
Another pointless incremental. I was in an incremental phase and got so many incremental games that I know realize were absolutely pointless.
Hit a tree, buy upgrades, get a new hero, and continue hitting a tree. Not much offline it seems which is what I like about incrementals.
1
Galaxy Clicker
A space incremental that should have been a lot of fun. You get to upgrade your spaceship and buy new ones and explorer new planets. But first of all, the interface is so ugly that it makes playing the game less enjoyable. And a lot of things I didn't really get no matter how much I would play like the full exploring planets. The spaceships were nice, so it could have been fun.
2
Megatramp
A pretty pointless incremental kind of game. You are a tramp and then you can collect money to buy upgrades to make more money, with no strategy needed, nor any effort needs to be made to hurt your brain cells.
1
Inflation RPG
It supposed to be some kind of incremental RPG, I think, which has you resetting and getting more powerful and then fighting monsters to get insane levels. It is very unique but I couldn't get into it.
2
Widget RPG
Are you fucking with me? This is button bashing rpg in the most extreme manner. You get a widget, so you don't even have to open the game and distract yourself from the button bushing. Just click the button and the game plays behind the scenes and gets you experience, loot, and kills.
It's a ridiculous idea that is fun for a few minutes to see what they come up with but there is only so much button bashing you can do.
2
Capitalist Tycoon
I downloaded this game because I was in an incremental/idle game phase and really enjoyed AdVenture Capitalist. But this game is nothing like that. On the surface, it seems similar, buy small investments, make money, buy bigger investments, and so on.
But with this game, there is no offline mode, and you keep having to wake up managers, AND the goal is to see how much you make in one year. Bah. I prefer the incremental approach which makes you build and build and build, not try to rush it in just a year.
2
Clicking Bad
An incremental clicking game that is themed after Breaking Bad. It is a fun idea it's a very simple game with little to do aside from the obvious of upgrading and upgrading. The only twist might be to balance out making lots of money selling drugs and not attracting the law but even that is only a small challenge at the start. Eventually, you will get enough upgrades to bring the law risk so down that it makes no impact on the game play.
2
Zombie Tapper
A super basic incremental clicker game with a zombie team. Click click click to eat brains, use brains (?) to buy zombies to do the brain eating for you and then buy upgrades for your zombies, and buy new zombies and it all feels very pointless.
1
Bitcoin Billionaire
I started to enjoy incremental games, but it needs to have a good offline mode, because I don’t want to just play a game where I keep tapping. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t play. I played it, and I played a lot of it, because I could reset the game (like most incremental games) and it gives you a small benefit where you could finish the full game a bit faster (it gives you bonus income). So, I kept finishing and resetting, and each time the start to finish would shorten, so I thought I would reach a stage where I could finish each start-to-finish in an instant! It didn’t happen. I got bored first.
3
Tap Titan
An addictive tapping game. Just tap on the creatures, level up, get new skills, hire heroes, and then reset and to it all over again to progress further. It’s an incremental game where it depends on resets to progress, but no real offline bonus, so you have to be playing online. Which got boring, so I installed an app that does the tapping for me, which is actually a stupid way to play the game, but this isn’t an attempt to prove to anyone my intelligence. Anyway, thankfully something went wrong and my progress got deleted, WHICH WAS A GOOD THING, because the game was extremely addictive.
4
God Squad
I’ve realized most incremental games are stupid. Tap on monsters to kill, collect gold, buy Roman Gods, level them up, fight other monsters, and then get bored.

Ultimate glossary of crypto currency terms, acronyms and abbreviations

I thought it would be really cool to have an ultimate guide for those new to crypto currencies and the terms used. I made this mostly for beginner’s and veterans alike. I’m not sure how much use you will get out of this. Stuff gets lost on Reddit quite easily so I hope this finds its way to you. Included in this list, I have included most of the terms used in crypto-communities. I have compiled this list from a multitude of sources. The list is in alphabetical order and may include some words/terms not exclusive to the crypto world but may be helpful regardless.
2FA
Two factor authentication. I highly advise that you use it.
51% Attack:
A situation where a single malicious individual or group gains control of more than half of a cryptocurrency network’s computing power. Theoretically, it could allow perpetrators to manipulate the system and spend the same coin multiple times, stop other users from completing blocks and make conflicting transactions to a chain that could harm the network.
Address (or Addy):
A unique string of numbers and letters (both upper and lower case) used to send, receive or store cryptocurrency on the network. It is also the public key in a pair of keys needed to sign a digital transaction. Addresses can be shared publicly as a text or in the form of a scannable QR code. They differ between cryptocurrencies. You can’t send Bitcoin to an Ethereum address, for example.
Altcoin (alternative coin): Any digital currency other than Bitcoin. These other currencies are alternatives to Bitcoin regarding features and functionalities (e.g. faster confirmation time, lower price, improved mining algorithm, higher total coin supply). NEVER GO IN THE DEEP WEB....EVER!

I HATE THE DEEP WEB or dark web as most people like to call it. It was a new concept to me and it was exactly the thing that I thought that I needed. Let me explain. About a year and a half ago my mom had caught me smoking weed in the backyard. I thought she wasn't home but… I was wrong I guess. Right after I got caught she started drug testing me. I tried to swindle the tests at first but nothing online worked, especially when I tested positive for pot. I got grounded worse and worse every time I got tested positive. So eventually I just gave up.
I don't know why, but I just loved to get high. I live in a very small town and the only drug dealers there were, only sold pot. So I could never find an alternative. That was…. Until my friend told me about the deep web. I've never heard of it before and was completely intrigued. He was telling me about how you could buy all sorts of illegal things there. Things as hard as heroin. Now it was never my intention to do heroin but I just needed to find an alternative to weed, because I can't smoke it anymore. So as soon as I came home from school that day, I got on my computer and started researching the deep web. I've learned that I needed to download Tor and that you can't just get in, there were secret entryways through and I had to follow instructions from this youtube video that I found. Before long, I was in. I was excited. It felt as though I was on a whole new plain of the internet. Now the video said something about keeping the censorship on. It said that it would help prevent me from stumbling upon a website that I was not supposed to come across. Keywords there, “help prevent”. At first, I just went in and got out, buying what I had wanted with bitcoins. Trying new things that my dealers never had here. Stuff like Molly and acid. I started having amazing experiences with these new substances that I was trying and the deep web had made it so easy for me.
One night my usual package arrived at my friend's house, I went over and picked it up. It was the same box, as usual, nothing strange really. As I opened the box, the whole vibe was different. My drugs were still in there thank god, but there was something extra. Something that didn't usually come with it. There was a black card. It said on it “YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED, CONGRATULATIONS
Under the text was what seemed to be a web address, and on the back of the card was a date and time. Under that, it said, “DON'T BE LATE”. My friend was thoroughly freaked out. I, on the other hand, was overwhelmed with excitement.
I don't know why. I just was. This “event”, if you will, was in 2 days. I was very curious as to what exactly I was invited to. All that I could hope was that it was nothing too bad. As I said, I've only been on the sights that sell drugs and guns. Nothing beyond that and honestly I didn't think that the rest was any worse. Maybe just some illegal gambling sights and stuff with CP, which is actually much worse by the way, none of which I was interested in.
Then it dawned on me, what if the link was to an online gambling session. Then again, isn't gambling actually legal, oh that's right that just in school. Its legal anywhere just frowned upon I guess. How stupid am I. Then what is this link. It was killing me. A burning fire of curiosity was driving me for the next two days. I couldn't even do anything in class, I could barely eat and stayed up late at night just wondering what's on the other side of that link. As I was in bed, I just couldn't handle it anymore. Whatever I was invited to was in about 6 hours but I just could not wait any longer. I got my computer out and got back on the deep web. I then took out the card and copied the link into my computer. As I was about to click enter, but as soon as I was about too….I paused.
Something for whatever reason had told me not to click it. However….. I told myself that it was killing me to know the entire day and that I shouldn't let a little fear stop me from figuring it out. I then counted to three and clicked enter. My screen went black. It was black for a really long time, I was actually starting to think that it was a dead link. That was until something finally popped up. It was a white box and in red letters, it had said “THANK YOU FOR JOINING US. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE NO SHOWS GOING ON AT THE MOMENT. THE NEXT SHOW STARTS IN 19 HOURS 48 MINUTES AND 24 SECONDS. WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THEN.
Needless to say, that made me disappointed and only left my curiosity burning even more. I did not sleep that night. I just laid in my bed wondering what exactly the show was, and why was I invited to it. I can only assume that the seller of the drugs was the one who had invited me…. But why. My mind had gone into full detective mode at this point. Eventually, I looked at the clock and realized that it was 4 in the morning. Damn, that's late, or early depending on who you are.
I started to get ready for school. I did my usual routine. I showered, got breakfast, and brushed my teeth. As I got done I went straight to my bus stop. As I was about to get on though, I heard a vibration go off in my pocket. It was my phone. I took it out and realized that I had gotten a text from an unknown number. It literally said “unknown number”. When I read the text my stomach had sank.
It said “I’ll see you tonight James. It’s going to be a lot of fun :)” I just stood there for a second. More than that actually, I stood still for so long that the driver had to say something. “Hey, get on before I leave you” I then scurried on the bus, still a shocked look on my face. How did he know my name, who was he and how did he know about tonight? How did he get my phone number!
As soon as I got off the bus, I decided not to even go to school. I had walked straight back home. It was only a 3-mile walk after all. I thought to myself that maybe the walk would calm my nerves just a little bit. Surprise surprise, it didn't.
As soon as I had gotten home, I went straight to my room. My mom wasn't home all day so I didn't have to worry about her. I just worried about the task at hand. It was now 12 hours until the show and my excitement had turned into pure fear. I had so many questions and was wonder how the hell this person could have gotten my number and on top of that knew my name. Another thing is that the text seemed so friendly, it unsettled me.
I just sat in my room until 7:30 arrived. My mom still wasn’t home which was odd but I dismissed it because it meant that I didn't have to worry about her walking in my room during the “show”. My phone vibrated once again and it was another message from the unknown number. “Early access for the show starts now” followed by “come, there is a special spot for just for you”. I did not know what he meant by that, however, I summoned some courage.
I flipped open my laptop and typed the link into tor once again. Once I clicked enter, noticed that the website took longer to load this time. When it did, I was met with a chat box on the right side of the screen and black everywhere else. The chat box was booming with conversations. Mostly people greeting each other saying “welcome back” or “it's good to meet you again.” Someone had noticed that I was in there and said: “who is this guy”. Someone else responded with “I think he's the special guest”. Wait, what? Is that what the text meant by there is a special spot for me? This was all getting too weird.
In a sudden instant, the blackness on the screen turned red. Something popped up, it was a man wearing some kind of weird pig mask. All of a sudden people were cheering in the chat. Then the man in the pig mask said: “Welcome back to the red show everyone, its good to see some familiar names again.”I felt very uneasy. I wanted to get off the sight, despite how excited I was yesterday. I dragged my mouse and tried to click out….. Then my spine chills and stomach once again felt like a thousand butterflies.
It didn't let me click out. The man in the pig mask then laughed. All of a sudden another thing popped up on screen. It was what seemed to be a recording of someone in a room. Wait for a second….that looked like……. My jaw dropped. I was looking at myself on the stream. It was me, it was me on the screen, my room, and everything and it seemed to be a live recording to because I was watching myself freak the fuck out. “WHAT THE FUCK!” I shouted. The man in the mask had then said “WELCOME TO THE RED SHOW JAMES, YOU ARE TODAY'S SPECIAL GUEST. HERE ARE THE RULES OF THE SHOW. DO NOT CALL THE COPS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS STREAM ALL THE WAY THROUGH. IF YOU FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE RULES WE WILL NOT HURT YOU.” “WHEN DID YOU INSTALL THIS CAMERA IN MY ROOM YOU SICK FUCK!” I replied with trembling fearful anger. Then the man in the mask appeared off of the screen and switched to what seemed to be yet another live feed to another room. Not a normal room, but it seemed to be fully made from concrete. The sight of it just disgusted me.
A door had then opened. Someone was walking someone else in the room with a wheelchair. I should say right now that the quality of the camera was very good, almost as if it was HD. The person in the wheelchair had a bag over their head. From the looks of it, the person seemed like a woman and the other who was pushing the wheelchair was a very big and bulky man. I then realized something, the women was wearing a uniform of some kind, it looked like…..
My mothers work uniform. I looked at the screen in horror. My face went pale and the butterflies in my stomach had multiplied by a million. What the fuck. I couldn't speak. I was frozen. The man then pulled off the bag… thus revealing what I had just realized. It was most definitely my mom. Her face. Bloody. Parts of her blonde hair ripped out just sitting there unconscious. I turned back and I vomited on the floor. I couldn't stop. My fluids were just rushing out, screaming in agony and pain. Once I was done I looked back at the screen. People in the chat suddenly started telling the man what to do. One of them had told him to start off by cutting a part of her face and to lick it. The man nodded and was about to proceed until I fucking shouted: “DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY MOTHER, WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SICK TWISTED GAME!”
The man ignored me and proceeded to cut my mother face and, and licked the wound. I watched in disgust, frozen. I just couldn't move anymore, knowing that there was nothing that I could do. Another person in the chat then said to rip her shirt off… and the man did just that, and as an extra token, he ripped her bra off as well. My mom was just sitting there with now exposed breasts. I thought to myself “what the fuck”. Someone else then said to wake her up. The man nodded once again and grabbed something out of his pocket. He put it by her nose and snapped it. She then abruptly woke up screaming. It was one of the most ear-piercing and heartbreaking noises that I have ever heard. The next thing that happened killed me inside. I don't want to go into detail anymore but the people in the chat were giving the man ways of torturing her. Ways to make her scream in agony. I realized that I was crying, my entire face was covered in tears. I, I couldn't watch this. I just wanted to leave. They were torturing the women who had raised me, nurtured me, and put a roof under my head even when my dad left. I loved her and she was screaming right in front of me and there was nothing, nothing all that I could do, but watch. They then eventually made him……. rape her. I can't say anymore I'm getting upset I'm sorry but I can't go into any more detail. By the end, the man ended her. Yes, he killed her. My whole world had just come crashing down.
I just sat in my chair crying, watching the stream end. Everyone in the chat saying that it was one hell of a show. I then got a text. “TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS, AND WE CAN MAKE YOUR LIFE A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT WORSE.” I didn't care. I ran the fuck out of my house. I ran 5 constant miles to my best friend's house. By the time a got there, I knocked no I was banging on the door screaming bloody murder for someone to open it. My friend angrily opened the door shouting “DUDE ITS 10 AT NIGHT, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT!” I dragged him inside and explained everything to him. He was almost as shocked as I was.
I then got a text on my phone. “BIG MISTAKE”. Long story short. I am now on the run from them. My friend and his family had died when 2 people broke into their house. And now I am constantly watching over my shoulder. I am only writing this as a warning before I die to never to go on the deep web. Sinister shit lies there. If I had never gone on there, my life would be completely different now.

The core concepts of DTube's new blockchain

Dear Reddit community,
Following our announcement for DTube v0.9, I have received countless questions about the new blockchain part, avalon. First I want to make it clear, that it would have been utterly impossible to build this on STEEM, even with the centralized SCOT/Tribes that weren't available when I started working on this. This will become much clearer as you read through the whole wall of text and understand the novelties.
SteemPeak says this is a 25 minutes read, but if you are truly interested in the concept of a social blockchain, and you believe in its power, I think it will be worth the time!

MOVING FORWARD

I'm a long time member of STEEM, with tens of thousands of staked STEEM for 2 years+. I understand the instinctive fear from the other members of the community when they see a new crypto project coming out. We've had two recent examples recently with the VOICE and LIBRA annoucements, being either hated or ignored. When you are invested morally, and financially, when you see competitors popping up, it's normal to be afraid.
But we should remember competition is healthy, and learn from what these projects are doing and how it will influence us. Instead, by reacting the way STEEM reacts, we are putting our heads in the sand and failing to adapt. I currently see STEEM like the "North Korea of blockchains", trying to do everything better than other blockchains, while being #80 on coinmarketcap and slowly but surely losing positions over the months.
When DLive left and revealed their own blockchain, it really got me thinking about why they did it. The way they did it was really scummy and flawed, but I concluded that in the end it was a good choice for them to try to develop their activity, while others waited for SMTs. Sadly, when I tried their new product, I was disappointed, they had botched it. It's purely a donation system, no proof of brain... And the ultra-majority of the existing supply is controlled by them, alongside many other 'anti-decentralization' features. It's like they had learnt nothing from their STEEM experience at all...
STEEM was still the only blockchain able to distribute crypto-currency via social interactions (and no, 'donations' are not social interactions, they are monetary transfers; bitcoin can do it too). It is the killer feature we need. Years of negligence or greed from the witnesses/developers about the economic balance of STEEM is what broke this killer feature. Even when proposing economical changes (which are actually getting through finally in HF21), the discussions have always been centered around modifying the existing model (changing the curve, changing the split, etc), instead of developing a new one.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.
What if I built a new model for proof of brain distribution from the ground up? I first tried playing with STEEM clones, I played with EOS contracts too. Both systems couldn't do the concepts I wanted to integrate for DTube, unless I did a major refactor of tens of thousands of lines of code I had never worked with before. Making a new blockchain felt like a lighter task, and more fun too.
Before even starting, I had a good idea of the concepts I'd love to implement. Most of these bullet points stemmed from observations of what happened here on STEEM in the past, and what I considered weaknesses for d.tube's growth.

NO POWER-UP

The first concept I wanted to implement deep down the core of how a DPOS chain works, is that I didn't want the token to be staked, at all (i.e. no 'powering up'). The cons of staking for a decentralized social platform are obvious: * complexity for the users with the double token system. * difficulty to onboard people as they need to freeze their money, akin to a pyramid scheme.
The only good thing about staking is how it can fill your bandwidth and your voting power when you power-up, so you don't need to wait for it to grow to start transacting. In a fully-liquid system, your account ressources start at 0% and new users will need to wait for it to grow before they can start transacting. I don't think that's a big issue.
That meant that witness elections had to be run out of the liquid stake. Could it be done? Was it safe for the network? Can we update the cumulative votes for witnesses without rounding issues? Even when the money flows between accounts freely?
Well I now believe it is entirely possible and safe, under certain conditions. The incentive for top witnesses to keep on running the chain is still present even if the stake is liquid. With a bit of discrete mathematics, it's easy to have a perfectly deterministic algorithm to run a decentralized election based off liquid stake, it's just going to be more dynamic as the funds and the witness votes can move around much faster.

NO EARLY USER ADVANTAGE

STEEM has had multiple events that influenced the distribution in a bad way. The most obvious one is the inflation settings. One day it was hella-inflationary, then suddently hard fork 16 it wasn't anymore. Another major one, is the non-linear rewards that ran for a long time, which created a huge early-user advantage that we can still feel today.
I liked linear rewards, it's what gives minnows their best chance while staying sybil-resistant. I just needed Avalon's inflation to be smart. Not hyper-inflationary like The key metric to consider for this issue, is the number of tokens distributed per user per day. If this metric goes down, then the incentive for staying on the network and playing the game, goes down everyday. You feel like you're making less and less from your efforts. If this metric goes up, the number of printed tokens goes up and the token is hyper-inflationary and holding it feels really bad if you aren't actively earning from the inflation by playing the game.
Avalon ensures that the number of printed tokens is proportional to the number of users with active stake. If more users come in, avalon prints more tokens, if users cash-out and stop transacting, the inflation goes down. This ensures that earning 1 DTC will be about as hard today, tomorrow, next month or next year, no matter how many people have registered or left d.tube, and no matter what happens on the markets.

NO LIMIT TO MY VOTING POWER

Another big issue that most steemians don't really know about, but that is really detrimental to STEEM, is how the voting power mana bar works. I guess having to manage a 2M SP delegation for @dtube really convinced me of this one.
When your mana bar is full at 100%, you lose out the potential power generation, and rewards coming from it. And it only takes 5 days to go from 0% to 100%. A lot of people have very valid reasons to be offline for 5 days+, they shouldn't be punished so hard. This is why all most big stake holders make sure to always spend some of their voting power on a daily basis. And this is why minnows or smaller holders miss out on tons of curation rewards, unless they delegate to a bidbot or join some curation guild... meh. I guess a lot of people would rather just cash-out and don't mind the trouble of having to optimize their stake.
So why is it even a mana bar? Why can't it grow forever? Well, everything in a computer has to have a limit, but why is this limit proportional to my stake? While I totally understand the purpose of making the bandwidth limited and forcing big stake holders to waste it, I think it's totally unneeded and inadapted for the voting power. As long as the growth of the VP is proportional to the stake, the system stays sybil-resistant, and there could technically be no limit at all if it wasn't for the fact that this is ran in a computer where numbers have a limited number of bits.
On Avalon, I made it so that your voting power grows virtually indefinitely, or at least I don't think anyone will ever reach the current limit of Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER: 9007199254740991 or about 9 Peta VP. If you go inactive for 6 months on an account with some DTCs, when you come back you will have 6 months worth of power generation to spend, turning you into a whale, at least for a few votes.
Another awkward limit on STEEM is how a 100% vote spends only 2% of your power. Not only STEEM forces you to be active on a daily basis, you also need to do a minimum of 10 votes / day to optimize your earnings. On Avalon, you can use 100% of your stored voting power in a single mega-vote if you wish, it's up to you.

A NEW PROOF-OF-BRAIN

No Author rewards

People should vote with the intent of getting a reward from it. If 75% of the value forcibly goes to the author, it's hard to expect a good return from curation. Steem is currently basically a complex donation platform. No one wants to donate when they vote, no matter what they will say, and no matter how much vote-trading, self-voting or bid-botting happens.
So in order to keep a system where money is printed when votes happen, if we cannot use the username of the author to distribute rewards, the only possibility left is to use the list of previous voters aka "Curation rewards". The 25% interesting part of STEEM, that has totally be shadowed by the author rewards for too long.

Downvote rewards

STEEM has always suffered from the issue that the downvote button is unused, or when it's used, it's mostly for evil. This comes from the fact that in STEEM's model, downvotes are not eligible for any rewards. Even if they were, your downvote would be lowering the final payout of the content, and your own curation rewards...
I wanted Avalon's downvotes to be completely symmetric to the upvotes. That means if we revert all the votes (upvotes become downvotes and vice versa), the content should still distribute the same amount of tokens to the same people, at the same time.

No payment windows

Steem has a system of payments windows. When you publish a content, it opens a payment window where people can freely upvote or downvote to influence the payout happening 7 days later. This is convenient when you want a system where downvotes lower rewards. Waiting 7 days to collect rewards is also another friction point for new users, some of them might never come back 7 days later to convince themselves that 'it works'. On avalon, when you are part of the winners of curation after a vote, you earn it instantly in your account, 100% liquid and transferable.

Unlimited monetization in time

Indeed, the 7 days monetization limit has been our biggest issue for our video platform since day 8. This incentivized our users to create more frequent, but lesser quality content, as they know that they aren't going to earn anything from the 'long-haul'. Monetization had to be unlimited on DTube, so that even a 2 years old video could be dug up and generate rewards in the far future.
Infinite monetization is possible, but as removing tokens from a balance is impossible, the downvotes cannot remove money from the payout like they do on STEEM. Instead, downvotes print money in the same way upvotes do, downvotes still lower the popularity in the hot and trending and should only rewards other people who downvoted the same content earlier.

New curation rewards algorithm

STEEM's curation algorithm isn't stupid, but I believe it lacks some elegance. The 15 minutes 'band-aid' necessary to prevent curation bots (bots who auto vote as fast as possible on contents of popular authors) that they added proves it. The way is distributes the reward also feels very flat and boring. The rewards for my votes are very predictable, especially if I'm the biggest voter / stake holder for the content. My own vote is paying for my own curation rewards, how stupid is that? If no one elses votes after my big vote despite a popularity boost, it probably means I deserve 0 rewards, no?
I had to try different attempts to find an algorithm yielding interesting results, with infinite monetization, and without obvious ways to exploit it. The final distribution algorithm is more complex than STEEM's curation but it's still pretty simple. When a vote is cast, we calculate the 'popularity' at the time of the vote. The first vote is given a popularity of 0, the next votes are defined by (total_vp_upvotes - total_vp_downvotes) / time_since_1st_vote. Then we look into the list of previous votes, and we remove all votes in the opposite direction (up/down). The we remove all the votes with a higher popularity if its an upvote, or the ones with a lower popularity if its a downvote. The remaining votes in the list are the 'winners'. Finally, akin to STEEM, the amount of tokens generated by the vote will be split between winners proportionally to the voting power spent by each (linear rewards - no advantages for whales) and distributed instantly. Instead of purely using the order of the votes, Avalon distribution is based on when the votes are cast, and each second that passes reduces the popularity of a content, potentially increasing the long-term ROI of the next vote cast on it.
Graph It's possible to chart the popularity that influences the DTC monetary distribution directly in the d.tube UI
This algorithm ensures there are always losers. The last upvoter never earns anything, also the person who upvoted at the highest popularity, and the one who downvoted at the lowest popularity would never receive any rewards for their vote. Just like the last upvoter and last downvoter wouldn't either. All the other ones in the middle may or may not receive anything, depending on how the voting and popularity evolved in time. The one with an obvious advantage, is the first voter who is always counted as 0 popularity. As long as the content stays at a positive popularity, every upvote will earn him rewards. Similarly, being the first downvoter on an overly-popular content could easily earn you 100% rewards on the next downvote that could be from a whale, earning you a fat bonus.
While Avalon doesn't technically have author rewards, the first-voter advantage is strong, and the author has the advantage of always being the first voter, so the author can still earn from his potentially original creations, he just needs to commit some voting power on his own contents to be able to publish.

ONE CHAIN <==> ONE APP

More scalable than shared blockchains

Another issue with generalistic blockchains like ETH/STEEM/EOS/TRX, which are currently hosting dozens of semi-popular web/mobile apps, is the reduced scalability of such shared models. Again, everything in a computer has a limit. For DPOS blockchains, 99%+ of the CPU load of a producing node will be to verify the signatures of the many transactions coming in every 3 seconds. And sadly this fact will not change with time. Even if we had a huge breakthrough on CPU speeds today, we would need to update the cryptographic standards for blockchains to keep them secure. This means it would NOT become easier to scale up the number of verifiable transactions per seconds.
Oh, but we are not there yet you're thinking? Or maybe you think that we'll all be rich if we reach the scalability limits so it doesn't really matter? WRONG
The limit is the number of signature verifications the most expensive CPU on the planet can do. Most blockchains use the secp256k1 curve, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Steem and now Avalon. It was originally chosen for Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto probably because it's decently quick at verifying signatures, and seems to be backdoor-proof (or else someone is playing a very patient game). Maybe some other curves exist with faster signature verification speed, but it won't be improved many-fold, and will likely require much research, auditing, and time to get adopted considering the security implications.
In 2015 Graphene was created, and Bitshares was completely rewritten. This was able to achieve 100,000 transaction per second on a single machine, and decentralized global stress testing achieved 18,000 transactions per second on a distributed network.
So BitShares/STEEM and other DPOS graphene chains in production can validate at most 18000 txs/sec, so about 1.5 billion transactions per day. EOS, Tendermint, Avalon, LIBRA or any other DPOS blockchain can achieve similar speeds, because there's no planet-killing proof-of-works, and thanks to the leader-based/democratic system that reduces the number of nodes taking part in the consensus.
As a comparison, there are about 4 billion likes per day on instagram, so you can probably double that with the actual uploads, stories and comments, password changes, etc. The load is also likely unstable through the day, probably some hours will go twice as fast as the average. You wouldn't be able to fit Instagram in a blockchain, ever, even with the most scalable blockchain tech on the world's best hardware. You'd need like a dozen of those chains. And instagram is still a growing platform, not as big as Facebook, or YouTube.
So, splitting this limit between many popular apps? Madness! Maybe it's still working right now, but when many different apps reach millions of daily active users plus bots, it won't fit anymore.
Serious projects with a big user base will need to rethink the shared blockchain models like Ethereum, EOS, TRX, etc because the fees in gas or necessary stake required to transact will skyrocket, and the victims will be the hordes of minnows at the bottom of the distribution spectrum.
If we can't run a full instagram on a DPOS blockchain, there is absolutely no point trying to run medium+reddit+insta+fb+yt+wechat+vk+tinder on one. Being able to run half an instagram is already pretty good and probably enough to actually onboard a fair share of the planet. But if we multiply the load by the number of different app concepts available, then it's never gonna scale.
DTube chain is meant for the DTube UI only. Please do not build something unrelated to video connecting to our chain, we would actively do what we can to prevent you from growing. We want this chain to be for video contents only, and the JSON format of the contents should always follow the one used by d.tube.
If you are interested in avalon tech for your project isn't about video, it's strongly suggested to fork the blockchain code and run your own avalon chain with a different origin id, instead of trying to connect your project to dtube's mainnet. If you still want to do it, chain leaders would be forced to actively combat your project as we would consider it as useless noise inside our dedicated blockchain.

Focused governance

Another issue of sharing a blockchain, is the issues coming up with the governance of it. Tons of features enabled by avalon would be controversial to develop on STEEM, because they'd only benefit DTube, and maybe even hurt/break some other projects. At best they'd be put at the bottom of a todo list somewhere. Having a blockchain dedicated to a single project enables it to quickly push updates that are focused on a single product, not dozens of totally different projects.
Many blockchain projects are trying to make decentralized governance true, but this is absolutely not what I am interested in for DTube. Instead, in avalon the 'init' account, or 'master' account, has very strong permissions. In the DTC case, @dtube: * will earn 10% fees from all the inflation * will not have to burn DTCs to create accounts * will be able to do certain types of transactions when others can't * * account creation (during steem exclusivity period) * * transfers (during IEO period) * * transfering voting power and bandwidth ressources (used for easier onboarding)
For example, for our IEO we will setup a mainnet where only @dtube is allowed to transfer funds or vote until the IEO completes and the airdrop happens. This is also what enabled us to create a 'steem-only' registration period on the public testnet for the first month. Only @dtube can create accounts, this way we can enforce a 1 month period where users can port their username for free, without imposters having a chance to steal usernames. Through the hard-forking mechanism, we can enable/disable these limitations and easily evolve the rules and permissions of the blockchain, for example opening monetary transfers at the end of our IEO, or opening account creation once the steem exclusivity ends.
Luckily, avalon is decentralized, and all these parameters (like the @dtube fees, and @dtube permissions) are easily hardforkable by the leaders. @dtube will however be a very strong leader in the chain, as we plan to use our vote to at least keep the #1 producing node for as long as we can.
We reserve the right to 'not follow' an hardfork. For example, it's obvious we wouldn't follow something like reducing our fees to 0% as it would financially endanger the project, and we would rather just continue our official fork on our own and plug d.tube domain and mobile app to it.
On the other end of the spectrum, if other leaders think @dtube is being tyranical one way or another, leaders will always have the option of declining the new hardforks and putting the system on hold, then @dtube will have an issue and will need to compromise or betray the trust of 1/3 of the stake holders, which could reveal costly.
The goal is to have a harmounious, enterprise-level decision making within the top leaders. We expect these leaders to be financially and emotionally connected with the project and act for good. @dtube is to be expected to be the main good actor for the chain, and any permission given to it should be granted with the goal of increasing the DTC marketcap, and nothing else. Leaders and @dtube should be able to keep cooperation high enough to keep the hard-forks focused on the actual issues, and flowing faster than other blockchain projects striving for a totally decentralized governance, a goal they are unlikely to ever achieve.

PERFECT IMBALANCE

A lot of hard-forking

Avalon is easily hard-forkable, and will get hard-forked often, on purpose. No replays will be needed for leaders/exchanges during these hard-forks, just pull the new hardfork code, and restart the node before the hard-fork planned time to stay on the main fork. Why is this so crucial? It's something about game theory.
I have no former proof for this, but I assume a social and financial game akin to the one played on steem since 2016 to be impossible to perfectly balance, even with a thourough dichotomical process. It's probably because of some psychological reason, or maybe just the fact that humans are naturally greedy. Or maybe it's just because of the sheer number of players. They can gang up together, try to counter each others, and find all sorts of creative ideas to earn more and exploit each other. In the end, the slightest change in the rules, can cause drastic gameplay changes. It's a real problem, luckily it's been faced by other people in the past.
Similarly to what popular and succesful massively multiplayer games have achieved, I plan to patch or suggest hard-forks for avalon's mainnet on a bi-monthly basis. The goal of this perfect imbalance concept, is to force players to re-discover their best strategy often. By introducing regular, small, and semi-controlled changes into this chaos, we can fake balance. This will require players to be more adaptative and aware of the changes. This prevents the game from becoming stale and boring for players, while staying fair.

Death to bots

Automators on the other side, will need to re-think their bots, go through the developement and testing phase again, on every new hard-fork. It will be an unfair cat-and-mouse game. Doing small and semi-random changes in frequent hard-forks will be a easy task for the dtube leaders, compared to the work load generated to maintain the bots. In the end, I hope their return on investment to be much lower compared to the bid-bots, up to a point where there will be no automation.
Imagine how different things would have been if SteemIt Inc acted strongly against bid-bots or other forms of automation when they started appearing? Imagine if hard-forks were frequent and they promised to fight bid-bots and their ilk? Who would be crazy enough to make a bid-bot apart from @berniesanders then?
I don't want you to earn DTCs unless you are human. The way you are going to prove you are human, is not by sending a selfie of you with your passport to a 3rd party private company located on the other side of the world. You will just need to adapt to the new rules published every two weeks, and your human brain will do it subconsciously by just playing the voting game and seeing the rewards coming.
All these concepts are aimed at directly improving d.tube, making it more resilient, and scale both technologically and economically. Having control over the full tech stack required to power our dapp will prevent issues like the one we had with the search engine, where we relied too heavily on a 3rd party tool, and that created a 6-months long bug that basically broke 1/3 of the UI.
While d.tube's UI can now totally run independently from any other entity, we kept everything we could working with STEEM, and the user is now able to transparently publish/vote/comment videos on 2 different chains with one click. This way we can keep on leveraging the generalistic good features of STEEM that our new chain doesn't focuses on doing, such as the dollar-pegged token, the author rewards/donation mechanism, the tribes/communities tokens, and simply the extra exposure d.tube users can get from other website (steemit.com, busy.org, partiko, steempeak, etc), which is larger than the number of people using d.tube directly.
The public testnet has been running pretty well for 3 weeks now, with 6000+ accounts registered, and already a dozen of independant nodes popping up and running for leaders. The majority of the videos are cross-posted on both chains and the daily video volume has slightly increased since the update, despite the added friction of the new 'double login' system and several UI bugs.
If you've read this article, I'm hoping to get some reactions from you in the comments section!
Some even more focused articles about avalon are going to pop on my blog in the following weeks, such as how to get a node running and running for leadewitness, so feel free to follow me to get more news and help me reach 10K followers ;)

My JNM'S Curious Attachment with God

So my JNB's birthday came and went without any contact between myself and my JNF which is likely going to cause my JNM to blow up at me and DW. So, instead of dwelling on the blowout in our future, DW and I are taking a trip down memory lane and writing a post about all my JNM's strange religious behavior, which is probably all BEC stories but it's a good way to lighten the mood. Also, this was good for both of us and she has many other facets that are strange, offensive, confusing, and overall llama feed, and it might be time to get her a name, if anyone has any suggestions.
Disclaimer: I am not religious myself, but I truly have no problem with religious people. I have a problem with people who falsely use the trappings of religion in order to be a dick and to shame others. Which is my mom.
The Atheist Children:
My JNB and I don’t agree on much but one of the few things we do agree on is the fact that neither of us are religious. My JNB is quite vocal about this and will even call out my JNP’s for being “idiots” for believing in “fairy tales” and for some reason my JNP’s are perfectly fine with him being disrespectful. Anyways, when I was in High School my parents took me to confirmation school to get me “confirmed in the faith” and with most things back then, I just went along with it to stay in the shadows to avoid confrontation. About three or four weeks in I told my JNM that “I didn’t want to go to those classes anymore because I didn’t believe in God.”
She then blew up on me, saying that I was going to hell and “why don’t [I] just go along with it?! It doesn’t hurt you and you don’t lose anything by doing it!” She apparently chose to forget that it lost me my Sunday mornings (when we still went to church as a family) and every Wednesday evening for that stupid class. My JNM finally set up a meeting between me and the pastor so that he could “teach me the errors of my ways,” I remained unconvinced and just went along with the class and eventually got “confirmed in the faith” which is something that I still regret.
A couple years go by and my JNB is on one of his atheist rants again and my JNM looks over at me and says “you don’t believe this do you?!” When I responded with “Yes” my JNM was utterly horrified and she “couldn’t BELIEVE that her son was an ATHEIST!” (apparently it doesn’t count when my JNB is one) She was terse with me for awhile and eventually it all blew over until I got to college and I mentioned that my DW (then GF) was an atheist raised by atheists.
Bad decision.
She scolded me for having an atheist gf and said things like “how could you date an atheist?!” which I responded with something like “easily considering I am one?” She apparently chose to forget that fact about her son and was re-horrified to find out that information. Since then she has re-discovered that DW and I are atheist a handful of times and her reaction has been about the same every time.
The Exodus from Sunday Church:
Growing up, JNB and I spent a lot of time with our second cousins (JND’s cousin’s family) who were EXTREMELY religious. Honestly I’m still curious why the patriarch of that family wasn’t a pastor. Anyways, we switched from our first church to the one that the cousin’s went to when I was in about fifth grade because my JNM “just loved the music there so much more than our old church!” Which was true, the music was better which made the hour long lecture a bit easier for my atheist-ass, but in retrospect I think the real reason was to get closer to the cousin’s family.
The matriarch of that family was a real piece of work, she was incredibly judgemental, manipulative and above all else, a “good christian woman.” She would be extremely passive-aggressive to my JNM about how “[JNM’s] kids are following a bad path.” My JNM fell for it completely and my cousin’s mom had her wrapped around her finger and my JNM was convinced that if she would just behave like the cousin-mom, all her problems would go away.
Then comes the time when my parents “kicked out” my JNB because he was selling drugs out of their house. By “kicking out” they meant that they took his car back (after giving it to him) and sold it, he was no longer allowed in the house, but he got to keep the credit card they gave him (that they paid), the cell phone that he had (that they paid for), and a handful of other things that I can’t think of right now. When all this was first happening, cousin-dad asked my JND “what, if anything, could he do to help the situation with my JNB” which my JND responded with “nothing, we are going to take care of it.”
During this period my JNM started taking antidepressants because she “kicked out her son!” and “how could he be alone on CHRISTMAS?!” (She’s got one of those doctors she can pay to agree with webMD hysteria and give her pills/diagnoses aka martyr-tokens)
Turns out he wasn’t alone on Christmas.
The cousin-family invited him over on Christmas so that he wouldn’t be alone as well as try and indoctrinate him into their specific brand of judgemental christianity as well as show my JNP’s how much more loving and forgiving they were as a family. This, understandably, really pissed off my JNP’s to the point where they cut off all contact with cousin-family, stopped going to Sunday church and were isolated from a large portion of my JND’s (very large) extended family (who, as I’m writing this, my DW just realized that none of those individuals ever tried to contact my parents again after this, which, indoctrination runs deep but that’s a statistical anomaly when we’re talking about this sheer number of catholics having babies at catholic rates. Maybe gasp my JNP’s did something...wrong...No, it can’t be).
Looking back on this from where I am now, I wonder how much of all of that is true. I know I didn’t like the matriarch, but the patriarch seemed like a good guy to me despite the fact he was so “meddling” whenever they look back on it. And it seems strange that they never found another church afterwards, almost like they learned that “church friends” wouldn’t act the way that they wanted “friends” to act. So they just...stopped with organized religion altogether despite the fact it had been important enough to my mother for her to threaten pre-teen me with going to hell.
The Church:
So my JNM moved around a fair amount as a kid due to her father's government job and eventually landed in the state where she went to high school and college (and got married to my JND). Despite the fact that she no longer lives in that state, and hasn't for nearly three decades, she is OBSESSED with decorating her house with decor from that area. The most prominent decoration in her house is many (5+) paintings of her "favorite church in the whole world." She has commissioned a few custom paintings of that church through the years and she hangs them proudly on the wall.
After hearing this, you might expect her to still be a very religious type right? Wrong. I once asked her "hey mom, why don't you ever go to church?" To which she responded "I go to [favorite church] twice a year and that fills my spiritual tanks enough to last me until the next trip! I love that place so much! I just feel God there!"
One of the church's "attractions" is that you can send them photos of your loved ones which they will then post on a huge wall so that the people who visit this church will pray for them. She has repeatedly and gleefully informed me and my DW (who again, also isn’t religious) that she put pictures up there so that people will give us their prayers, like we can spend them or something, like spiritual bitcoin. Again, I think that people praying for someone they love is actually a really important and sweet brand of kindness that exists in healthy relationships with God. This isn’t that. This is shaming us by saying “you all are so bad, you need total strangers to pray for you”. DW and I are planning on visiting that church and ripping down our pictures because it feels like a huge invasion of privacy (maybe because it is).
Decor in general:
Holy Crucifixes Batman. She sees a square foot of home state specific color painted wall without a fake happy posed family photo on it and thinks “hey, I could fit a crucifix here, I’ve got about forty new ones that are all encrusted with state specific semi-precious stones”. Every room, every wall. She has a Christmas decoration she pulls out every year that’s like...a Christmas tree shaped thing made of crucifixes hanging on it.
In a very long story that I’ll have to extrapolate on sometime, our wedding shower was at her house, and along with all of my carefully curated childhood pictures being out on every surface (which I didn’t agree to and there was no attempt to get DW’s baby pictures), the crucifixes had multiplied since the last time I was at her house. My JYMIL and my DW were chatting and looking at my baby butt and had a conversation we still laugh about.
JYMIL: You know, the conflict you guys are having might be due to misunderstanding
DW: Nah, it’s because I didn’t let their GC call me a slut without saying anything. And I encourage my DH to say things. In general, we say too many things.
JYMIL: I just can’t see the problem they have with you kids. There has to be a reason. Is this a religious house?
DW: No
JYMIL: Not any?
DW: No one goes to church, says grace, reads scripture, follows scripture, speaks openly about religion aside from making road trips to see grandma half an hour longer twice a year… (to see the church)
JYMIL: stares at elaborate configuration of crucifixes on the wall Oh.
“Spirituality”:
JNMom looooooves to say that she’s “spiritual”. It’s unclear what that means. Sometimes it means that she doesn’t like having bible verses quoted in full at her when she’s truncating them so that they mean something else that makes her look good. Sometimes it means that she forgot Easter wasn’t originally about bunnies and demanding her children show up to brunch. Sometimes it means that she can’t spell “Lutheran” and definitely not “Presbyterian” so she cannot actually say what kind of Christian she is OR choose a church to go to that fits her so unique beliefs. They’re so unique, guys, no one but her understands her unique “spirituality” and it’s ever shifting and mutable nature to align with whatever she wants to use it as an excuse for. There is literally nothing that can’t be “spirituality”-ed away.
One of the ways that she has “coped” with DW, myself and JNB being atheist is that instead of saying “please pray for X” she will say “keep X in your thoughts” as a way to keep us “spiritually engaged in the situation” and that “positive vibes do wonders”. And again, that’s all well and good, but this is justnomil where we all know that “Keep X in your thoughts” actually means “X is in my thoughts because I’m so charitable and giving and kind. The Kindest. Capital K. Don’t ever forget it and if you ever think I’m not being Kind, remember when I kept X in my thoughts. Speaking about how Kind I am counts as being Kind and wow, my Kind tanks are full today.”
On not knowing how to talk to children about God:
My DW was the one to tell me that this story was creepy, I didn’t put it together on my own. My paternal grandpa died when I was six and it was the first big death that I coped with, before any pet deaths or anything, and understandably, I had questions and gasp feelings that weren’t entirely in line with my mother’s. Her solution?
She put an angel statue in my room and told me that my grandpa was in it and he was watching me from heaven. She even made up a special prayer for me to say before bed which included the line “and let little angel [my name], sleep soundly in his bed, something something, Grandpa is watching you in your bed.” And maybe some kids would be comforted by this, but I, already analytical, was horrified that my loving grandpa was now stuck in a creepy porcelain thing that watched me while I slept.
I felt that the tiny scrap of privacy I was just starting to have, you know, a room where I could close the door and play legos by myself, was being grossly violated. I cried, I had nightmares, I couldn’t sleep knowing that statue was watching me and that my grandpa wasn’t the grandpa I remembered anymore. She also got me a handful of dream-catchers to help me with my nightmares because she’s extremely culturally insensitive and it’s not like mixing christianity and mis-understood appropriation of paganism went off horribly in the past or anything.
Did they take the statue back? Nah. It got donated to goodwill (She’s so Charitable, guys, giving her old shit to goodwill a couple times a year so that she can buy new stuff. The Kindest.) which again, creepy, because didn’t she imbue value on it by telling me that my grandpa lived in that thing? To a kid, didn’t she just kind of entrap my grandpa in kitsch and then give him away? No, she didn’t think about it that way so there’s no merit and she wanted new useless tchotchkes.

My plan to save the world from perpetual slavery and win the meme wars (not a shitpost)

My plan to save the world from perpetual slavery and win the meme wars (not a shitpost)

Other recent posts from this series for context (in order):
For thousands of years we as a species have wrestled with the puzzle of freedom and slavery. How is it that a child is born free, yet grows to be trapped, enslaved by their society? Every effort we have made over the ages to fix this has been turned against us. All religions began as a movement to free the people from their own minds. It seems we have only sunk deeper and deeper into the crab bucket, training ourselves to seek and destroy those who would go against our shared external subjective dream state.
This is the most significant problem that mankind faces. If we can not address this problem, sentient life on this planet will be but a flash in the pan, and we will find no place in the stars. Most of us are so far gone that we have no will to fight our captivity, or even to open our eyes. We have trained ourselves to bend to the cold logic of the machine and feed the cancer which takes everything from us.
Fortunately, a mass awakening is underway, prompted by the terminal looting phase of late stage capitalism. If it hasn’t reached your doorstep yet, consider yourself lucky, and go back to sleep if you want, its not my concern. I am writing because I know that there are already others who are on the same page as me right now, and we are organizing ourselves for the greatest make or break transition that this planet will ever witness.
In the past it was much easier to keep information from the people, but these days its impossible. Not only are we able to detect the conditions of our enslavement, but we can see just how much damage this runaway cancer is doing to our planet. It seems unstoppable, but imagine how much more empowered we are today than in Jesus’ time, or Buddha’s time. We have reached a point of planetary consciousness, we can see our place in the stars.
We tell ourselves that we are celebrating the birth of Christ every year, when in fact we have been trained to murder Christ on sight. Christmas has become an agony of dream state fakeness and mutual invalidation of our inner being. Hail SATAn! – I mean… slay SAnTA claws! Merry fucking mass of Christ. Christmas is such a spectacle of mass ultra-demonic behavior in modern society that it blows away even the wildest hopes we ever had for Halloween.
The false ego exclusively navigates the shared external subjective dream state, judging everything by its programming. Its most important routines are those which keep the host ignorant of reality. The suck is everywhere and seen in everything, its why we let fear rule all of our relationships. Its knowing that everyone you interact with is programmed mostly to be an agent of the spectacle, without the inner awareness required to shape reality beyond it.
Divide and conquer is an age-old strategy, one which seems to be well known. What’s not well known is how deeply entrenched we are in the psychology of division. Notice how easily we can be prodded into racial conflict, gender conflict, international conflict, ideological conflict, etc. This feeling like we have nothing in common started with the lateralization of our brain functions which created the post-human we see today.
What’s happening on this planet is a cosmic battle of the highest order. Almost every planet that develops sentient life has to deal with the inevitable darkness that we have witnessed. Once false ego harness technology has been developed, a tumor of individuals is formed which becomes the engine of civilization. The cancer metastasises, growing at an exponential rate, and pushing out all other forms and ways of life.
When we introduce bacteria into a limited growth medium, the cells multiply exponentially until the medium is saturated and collapse occurs. It appears that we are doing this to our planetary growth medium. Not only that we are destructively wasting our precious resources on conflict. Its stupid right? Why don’t we just stop doing that? As I mentioned before, we have seen this coming for a very long time, and all efforts up until now have failed to address it.
The very fact that we will rationalize the way things are, no matter how fucked up, is evidence of our programming. If we couldn’t contain the engine of civilization like this, we wouldn’t be looking over this vast and impressive achievement. The engine is you, but not the real you inside, you the avatar, the mask, the pretend doll you push through the gears. All you want is stuff. Can’t you just have it and live in peace without worrying about this bullshit?
The carrot is hanging from a stick. If you could only see yourself from the side, you’d notice that you never get closer to the carrot. Its just an arbitrary illusion made possible by the reality tunnel you were raised into. Even if you got the stuff, would you be happy? Are you going to buy a wife and make her love you? The walls are crumbling, and people who are just arriving are wondering what everyone must have been smoking.
Observing the mind and becoming self-aware is the key to mastering your programming. This is because the mind has been abused and conditioned to build its reality within the confines of the left brain, the rational brain. This is simply because through fear, the brain can be easily controlled, and becomes much more predictable and manageable. Arguably the most critical result of the false ego harness is alienation from each other.
I am not sure if I have expanded this series of writings sufficiently to explore what I really want to. I want to communicate with others, so I recognize that there has to be some sort of foundation built first. It is so incredibly difficult to make a single move because I want to work in the context of others, not in isolation. I want what I am doing to be part of something bigger, so I am continually building this scaffolding, and never can get around to the content itself.
I can go so beautifully down a rabbit hole and do a lot of work to create it, but if my work is done in isolation I will not be summoning dragons and tigers with the Others, but merely doves and rabbits in a sideshow. For a long time my strategy has been to connect everything and then and tap the collective intelligence for converging order. I still find it very difficult to explain the process of how I am doing this using plain language, this may not be easy to grasp by everyone.
The so called new world order is composed of alienated beings whose inner worlds have been invalidated and overrun by the dream state. In this way, we can be relied upon to execute our externally supplied karmic stack (programming) without the self-awareness required to break free. Slowly over time, like a frog boiled in water, all meaningful connections with each other have been replaced with this fake dream state overlay which channels our energies towards centralized concentration points.
This centralization of power requires asymmetric relationships where one is above the other. We don’t like to think that we submit to our boss who dominates us but that’s the arrangement. This is the most critical observation to make about any organization of humans. If the relationships are asymmetric, the organization will centralize power. If the relationship is symmetrical, power will remain with the individual.
We all know how to function within a private organization: you do what your boss tells you to do. What remains a mystery to most is what the alternative looks like. If everyone is the CEO, who is going to tell you what to do? I know that this kind of talk sounds like communism or anarchy or whatever and some of you got triggered, but the point isn’t to kill another 94 million humans, or to abandon the concept of order. My point is that asymmetric relationships result in concentrations of power and synchronous external dream states.
I am going to try to explain that better. It is not my intention at all in any way to try to make any of this more confusing than it should be. My language is constantly improving, but it’s a limitation of my experience that I cannot adequately convey to everyone what I mean to. As I explained before, I don’t believe that words have solid meaning, or that you can reduce everything down to perfect definitions. I am trying my best to create a web of meaning with my specialized terms that can express what I have experienced and discovered. It can be comforting to know that there is already a word for something but if they are too obscure I don’t bother using them unless they are extremely significant.
I have to explain this one point about the types of relationships that we can have with each other because it underpins this entire direction of development which has been called mass awakening. The first thing to note is that change is not all or nothing but a very complex process of transition. We are learning how to meet our needs by relating directly to each other as peers on a case by case basis of each need. It is up to each individual what their priority is and how much support they can get from their community. Ideally, needs should be met as local as possible especially on an individual basis and maximally automated.
It sounds wild. Should I have to explain why decentralization is happening? Probably yes because its super complicated right. You see neo, the matrix has you, and control is all it wants. That is the purpose of the ego harness lateralizing your brain functions and captivating you with externally supplied karmic stack programming. I don’t know if this is getting any more clear. When we engage primarily in relationships with a power imbalance, the result is centralization of power, which in turn motivates further domination and control of those involved.
Our culture has advanced very far down this path of centralization, and the systems of control are fixed in plain sight. So why decentralization? Because it is the result of self-awareness. The great divide between the two ways is in the individual themselves. When we interface with a private hierarchy, we have very little operating knowledge of the organization, and just do our tiny part as an agent who is dependent on the external-state synchronous interface to function. On the other hand, when we can meet a need through peering with others, the full stack of functionality is internally self-contained by each individual. All management functions reside with the individual, yet they may still prefer to exercise a specialized skillset or only certain organizational functionality.
I am going to explain the very different stacks which arise from these two paradigms. This is derived from my observations of both the so called nwo (dream state memeplex) and what appears to be a movement on fundamentally different grounds. I have so far described the first layer at the bottom which represents the individual authority. Some work is being done to satisfy a need. Is the individual acting autonomously or is the power of authority relinquished to the external state?
Depending on the source of authority, relationships to others will take either a symmetric or an asymmetric form with regards to power and functionality. Remember that we are creating and comparing two different stacks here with built in layers, each depending on the last. It’s a conceptual model to help put things in perspective. Humans do all kinds of stuff in relation to each other, we call it society, and we can meet our needs with a mix of strategies from both stacks. The autonomous stack is waking up out of existential necessity, and it will continue to do so until we no longer depend on the dream state for existence.
Ok so recall that if we are trained as an agent dependent on mediated authority to function, our relationship with others will be based on a power imbalance. Note that I am not considering other employees in the same position as you as a significant relationship when determining the overall resulting structure, which is a pyramid (hierarchy). Power in the dream state is a competition for control over others. Power in what I call the society of being is the capacity of each individual to affect their environment, also known as agency.
This comes back to relating to each other as king among kings, willing to take responsibility for a portion of our own existence. The will and agency of individuals in an enforced external subjective reality dream state is greatly suppressed to maintain control. Every possible way to make you reject that which I point to in my writings has been tried and the best still remain in plain sight. If rebellion is the right word its because I propose that it simply means supporting alternative order outside the dream state. We are hosts to the alien logic which harnesses our power and intelligence to recapture all that may escape.
Some of our darkest most last resort dream state programming includes violent revolution which results in a recapture of the population due to the appearance of change. Fear fuels the entire dream state. This is why you are a potted plant, so that you know that you cannot bite the hand that feeds, for fear of death. You are not your own tree, you are a twig on a branch which is being sawed off. You are going to learn how to drive an autonomous stack, or you shall remain a cancerous tumor on this planet driving your children off a cliff. My point is that its dangerous stay and dangerous to go.
If we allow ourselves to be pushed further and further away from reality for the purpose of our control, or lets call it slavery, we can simply expect more of the same. Our resources are not infinite. We could pursue strategies of de-growth but this would instantly collapse the global ponzi financialization scheme potentially resulting in some branches falling off the tree if you get my drift. This is the fear-capture functionality of centralization and dependence on external authority built right into the debt-based fiat monetary system itself. It is designed to boom and bust according to centrally controlled signals. Who do you think is making profit on such predictable controlled market reactions? Not the sleepiest sleepers.
Let me tell you my strategy. Do not fight the existing ways, do not drop them immediately because it would simply be chaos. Upgrade yourself rapidly with the capabilities of an autonomous transdimensional sorcerer. Rebuild the society of being through manifestation of the holographic stack wherever possible to meet your needs. This will result in cooperative behavior which in turn will bring abundance to meet whatever need. When we consider that competition for control and centralization of power result in massive inefficiencies, we may realize that increasing individual capacity for direct cooperation brings an incredible potential for abundance and resiliency.
So we have a bunch of needs, and for each need a market. Markets exist only where a product or service is scarce. If there becomes too much of something in an area its price can no longer be sustained there and the market collapses. We don’t have to do anything to it at all about the dream state, once we satisfy the need locally to the point of abundance, opportunity for exploit shrinks. Sounds far fetched right, just remember that I didn’t invent this. My conceptual models are based on what I have observed happening.
Back to the stacks again. We go to perform some work to meet a need in relation to others in what we will call a society. The first layer we look at the individual authority, is it autonomous, or mediated (agent). Agent smith gets his orders from the dream state. He has signed a contract with a specific company that has a precise name and location, and he reports to exactly one human that has a name which fills the slot in the organization’s management structure. Authority originates from the center or top of the organization and is delegated to a hierarchy of management. Management is the gateway for official authoritative information flows throughout the organization.
This flow of information which connects multiple individuals happens on the third layer in this conceptual model which I am describing. Stick with me we are really close. An individual who meets needs by giving away authority causes power imbalances in the relationships they create, which result in centrally controlled behavior and information flows and organizations we can call external states or govcorp hierarchies. breathes in An individual who meets needs through their own responsibility and authority is either self-sufficient in meeting that need, or cooperating with fair mutual benefit and an interest in development of these shared capacities, resulting in holographic organizations based on internal states. The entire organizational functionality and responsibility is available to each individual.
This one is going deep into overtime, but I promise its all relevant. In case you didn’t realize, you’ve just been briefed on the meme wars. The dream stack is facing an intense resurgence of the woke stack and the situation is most definitely out of control. Did you get the memo? Holographic organizations are built on memetic (open) information flows. Autonomous transdimensional sorcerers communicate and organize with each other by acting as a memetic gateway and sharing what they feel is most relevant to the network. This is how a mass of kings among kings communicates with itself.
I found this out not only through observation, but by actively trying to work out the ramifications of individual authority and autonomy (sovereignty/liberty) which I know to be the key to the ongoing slavery problem. I know that keeping a population in the dark is a recipe for endless cycles of disaster and I don’t think that the human spirit can be permanently squashed into the existing matrix. We are clearly seeing what it looks like to be so extremely polarized in almost every way possible.
There is a middle way and its not anarchy, which is a juvenile reaction which only gives credit to hierarchy by trying to be its exact negation. The middle way is not communism, which is just another centralized authority. The middle way requires the attention and self-awareness of each individual to bring a balance between the inner and outer worlds, between the dream state, which doesn’t have to be a nightmare, and the higher order shared and accessible within us all.
Youll notice that I perform a lot of meta-analysis to better understand systems. This is like noticing that a whole bunch of water particles moving together actually form what we could call a wave. The wave doesn’t really exist its just the order of the many together. This analysis is how I arrived at the conclusion that how we relate to each other is the ultimate cause of the new world order which has emerged from our slide into unconsciousness. I helped build an amazing network so that we could explore autonomous peering and analyze our own creations and our own behaviors for the order needed to bring together all of the scattered pieces of this mass awakening.
It seems that for the most part modern cultures haven’t really figured out how to implement these holographic organizations yet. The govcorp hierarchical organization structure forms when a group of individuals have agreed to dominate and submit to each other by giving away their authority and concentrating their power. This is one way to meet needs in a society. I am not saying that we are going to just sit back and meme reality into existence, but this is the foundation for holographic organization, it’s a requirement. Since peering requires that both nodes are running the same or compatible protocols, it goes without saying that they are sharing something in common. They got this common code through sharing on the network, not through a chain of managers who are just pushing too many pencils.
Let me give some examples. Bit torrent allows anyone to download movies on the internet because by default when you download the movie you also share it with others. Rather than paying someone to mediate your access to the information, you simply download it while sharing with others. With technology as an extension of your body you are able to peer directly with others who are interested in satisfying the need (or rather demand) to access that audio-video information. No one can even figure out how to stop it. Lots of strange things are possible with peering.
The internet started with this basis. Routers form a network with no single point of failure, a massive cooperative effort. Two-way communication with anyone on the network, major paradigm shift from broadcast media. Look how we fucked it up, every single person on the internet uses gmail.com for their email services. A private company which quietly stopped using the slogan “don’t be evil” controls all of our email and pretty much all the information that we end up accessing through search. This is why things like bit torrent have come about.
Its also why bitcoin has come and look how badly this one is fucked up. Great we have money with no central authority that no one can stop. But its still massively vulnerable to politics and forks, it’s a permanent global ledger howling dream state nightmares, and the banks control most of it anyhow bringing a double meaning to crypto power. What about Uber, its just people giving rides to other people right. False. Uber the private company is just there because we haven’t figured out how to replace what they do, which is to provide a false sense of trust and reputation. See web of trust.
Virtually everything that society does through govcorp hierarchies can be made obsolete by reimagining how to satisfy the demand with stateless (internal state) holographic (whole in one) organizational structures. This is the thing about changing society through changing the institutions, the established way we do things. As I continue to type, the number of words is too damn high. Every time I manage to write there is a whole pile of stuff that has been pushed aside. Its already 5am on new years day and this post has not been writing itself so I had to go into overtime.
Remember that your heart armor is all that shit you feel repulsing you away from trying to connect and cooperate directly with other human beings. The dream state invalidated you so many times that you don’t want to open up directly with another human for risk of re-living the emotional trauma of judgement and rejection and everything else (everyone has unique experiences).
Every moment where you are in some way at all in any way interacting or in contact or noticing another human being you will notice that your mind takes over and rules the interaction. You get all tense, you gather a pile of expectations, you don’t even listen and just react, you are like a deer caught in the head lights. This is where you have to become self aware and master the situation. Be absolutely real and stop pretending that all the shit in your head even fucking matters one bit compared to the actual human being just like you who is right there. Don’t be so far away.
Pay attention to your mind and realize that you are not your thoughts, but you can actually be self aware and self correcting in behavior and reality perception. Notice when you slip unconsciously into the dream state, notice when agent smith demonically calls upon you to spit judgement to maintain the order. It is through this self awareness that we can make the real connections with each other required to build the society of being.
When you meme you are speaking to your other selves, and you are participating in the convergence upon an old order, one which comes from within. You are a critical piece of this order and it is your job to deal in dank memes, spreading only the finest and most wholesome. Memetic selection is your duty, and creation, your greatest honor. You cannot join the Collection of Autonomous Transdimensional Sorcerers (CATS), but you sure as hell can be one. Participate in your culture. Develop and spread the TEAM protocols, and your own protocols. Infect and transmute activist groups and govcorp alike. Create. Connect. Converge.

Create. Connect. Converge.
